Our activities
SAN ISIDRO CENTRAL HOSPITAL
Adult patients (of both sexes) are assisted here. We are present at the entrance of the Hospital in order to guide more than 300 patients daily.
We assist professionals in their consulting rooms in 21 different specialties: Gynecology, Stress Medicine, Otolaryngology, Preventive Medicine, Traumatology, etc. and guide patients with procedures until their surgery.
Free medicines are given daily to between 70 to 100 patients with hospital prescriptions. Every month 2000 people benefit from this. Medicines are donated by different individuals,laboratories and also bought by us.
Wheelchairs are provided to patients who come to the hospital and need them. We also offer orthopedic equipment.
Between 1500 and 1700 items of clothing such as towels, nightgowns, pajamas, etc. are sewn here by our volunteers.
Our Room Volunteers assist patients who have been admitted to the hospital and wash their hair and even shave them if necessary. We provide them with underwear, diapers and if necessary clothes for when they leave. We feed patients when families request it.
We process patient’s admission to “Proepi” (epilepsy) and “Prodiaba” (diabetes). This will allow them to receive their medications directly from the Ministry of Health as they are chronic patients.
Our patients receive small gifts for Father´s Day, Mother´s Day and Christmas.
RIVADAVIA HOSPITAL
In our Residence for Mothers, we accompany and assist mothers and their new born babies We assist the medical staff in their consulting rooms in 15 different specialties, where an average of 6.200 patients are seen to.
We have started a sewing workshop where clothes are made for patients. Donations of towels, sheets and hotel slippers are extremely useful for them.
Our patients receive small gifts for Father´s Day, Mother´s Day and Christmas.
RAMÓN SARDÁ MATERNITY
Our work there benefits 1400 mothers with premature babies who have been hospitalized, in our Residence for Mothers.
We receive 40.000 babies and children in the pediatric outpatient clinics.
We organize workshops to train mothers and focus their minds proactively on concerns beyond the world with their babies. Crafts training workshops are organized in order to offer leisure time and socialization.
We walk through the hospital wards to attend to the mother’s needs and provide assistance in neonatology by giving out diapers that are used in intensive care.
We provide sheets that we have sewn as well as baby caps and special eye protection pads.
Mothers receive small gifts for Mother´s Day and Christmas.
The Neonatology board, where the babies that are in hospital are registered, is updated by us daily.
We collaborate with breastfeeding services, adolescence and day patients, according to their needs.
Schools from the area visit us and we give them talks on “what volunteering means”
THE SAN ISIDRO HOSPITAL for MOTHERS and CHILDREN
We collaborate with the pediatric and neonatology breastfeeding facilities preparing bottles and food syringes with specific formulas for all babies admitted.We assist the professional staff in their consulting rooms in 13 different specialties, where more than 6.000 children are attended to.
There are approximately 80 mothers staying in our Mothers’ Residence, whose babies have been hospitalized.
We hand out medicine to patients who cannot afford buying them as well as infant formula milk.
Hospitalized patients receive small gifts for Father´s Day, Mother´s Day and Christmas.
We are present at the entrance of the Hospital in order to guide more than 60 patients daily.
Collaboration is offered during “Breastfeeding Week” and “Premature Babies Week”.
Early Learning and Childhood Development Center “ EL NIDO”
We attend to children in the waiting room, reading them stories or providing them with materials to play and liven up their wait, and for this purpose, we also run a small library.
Assistance is given to directors, medical staff and administrative employees when required.
We also take part in events that they may organize.
FERNANDEZ HOSPITAL
Our assistance is concentrated on the Residence for Mothers or with the Neonatology service offering 200 women whatever they might need while their babies are admitted.
We contribute with diapers, special baby glasses for light therapy and white sheets.
We visit the different hospital wards and rooms where mothers and their babies are hospitalized and offer workshops for mothers, directed by the head of the premature service.
Patients who are hospitalized receive gifts for Father´s Day, Mother´s Day and Christmas.
Collaboration is offered during “Breastfeeding Week” and “Premature Babies Week”.
ARGERICH HOSPITAL
We take care of new-born babies in Neonatology.
The Pink Ladies coordinate the Residence for Mothers and offer all that mothers may need during their stay.
We visit the wards where the mothers and their babies are, as well as the gynecological wards.
Collaboration is offered during “Breastfeeding Week” and “Premature Babies Week”.
Patients who have been hospitalized receive gifts for Father´s Day, Mother´s Day and Christmas.
BOULOGNE HOSPITAL
Support patients in chemoteraphy.
Assit doctors and pediatricians with clinic helping with patients and their medical history.
we maintain our reservoir of medicine to provide patients at not cost.
ITALIAN HOSPITAL
We assist elderly patients at lunch time and feed them if necessary
